Romantic Seaside Bridal Portraits
I am, without a doubt, through and through, a mountain girl. Give me grass to dig my toes into, a tree stump to sit on, and I'm a happy girl. Give me sand and water and I literally don't know wtf I'm supposed to. (For real, sand is itchy and waves knock me over and I have a whole laundry list of reasons why I don't like to be at the beach. Just saying.)
However, I live near the beach, with the mountains a few hours away, so I feel like it's about time that I start embracing these opportunities. So when Viktoriya from the Hanging Gardens finally had a styled session available on a date that I was available, I decided to jump on it.
This romantic season bridal session was everything I could have wanted and then some.
Our model, Jenny, was sporting this crazy long bouncy dress. A natural beauty who didn't have to rely on fancy hair styles or crazy makeup, she was literally perfection. Since this happened to fall on a particularly sunny and WINDDDDDY day, magic was made.
I may not know much about the beach, but I know that I love playing with light. So positioning Jenny with the sun behind her to light up that gorgeous dress, with the sun in front of her to give that sun kissed look, on her side so it lights up her hair just right -- well, you get the point.
It was an evening of experimenting with movement, texture and light.
